CELLAR AND WINERY TOUR

WITH CHEESE AND WINE PAIRING

A unique winter experience with rare access to our original underground cellar. You’ll explore our wineries and production areas to discover how we craft our traditional method English sparkling wine. Guests will venture below ground to our heritage cellar – rarely seen by the public and one of the first of its kind in this country.

Your tour will conclude with a guided tasting of four Ridgeview wines, each paired with a specially selected artisan cheese. Restaurant reservations are available to finish the evening in our seasonal winery restaurant, The Rows & Vine.

WINE TASTING EXPERIENCE

A Taste of Ridgeview

Join us for a relaxed wine tasting and discover your favourite English sparkling wine. Hosted in our dedicated tasting room overlooking our Chardonnay vines, a Ridgeview wine expert will guide you through our full collection of Signature and Limited Release English sparkling wines.

Whether you’re enjoying the vineyard’s verdant beauty in summer or settling into our cosy tasting room during the winter months, it’s the perfect experience to discover wines for every season.

Explore even more with our enhanced tasting options, allowing you to add extra samples from our limited-edition range or enjoy a sharing plate and a nibble or two.

Available on the hour from 11–3 p.m. Advanced booking is recommended but walk-ins are welcome (subject to availability). If there’s a wait, you can relax with a drink at The Rows & Vine restaurant.

SELF GUIDED AUDIO TOUR

Explore the beauty of Ridgeview throughout the seasons with our self-guided audio tour and woodland walk. Whether you’re wandering through the sun-drenched, green canopy of our vines in summer or embracing the crisp air and crunchy leaves during winter, there’s so much to discover.

This unique visitor experience features intimate insights from Ridgeview’s founding family (The Roberts) and showcases how our heritage vineyard evolves throughout each season. Booking is not required. Simply visit our winery shop to get details on how to download our exclusive tour app to your smart device.

Guests on this tour are eligible to experience ‘A Taste of Ridgeview’ on the same day, sampling six of our sparkling wines for just £15 per person (normally £20).

As we are a working vineyard and winery, we reserve the right to close the tour trail at any time.

PRIVATE TOURS AND TASTINGS

We offer exclusive private tour and tasting experiences, tailor-made to your individual requirements. Led by an experienced guide, guests will journey through the Ridgeview estate to discover the world behind our English sparkling wines, followed by a tutored tasting overlooking the vines.

You can choose from a range of additional upgrades including Sussex cheese pairing, limited-edition wine tasting, a drinks reception and dining at our restaurant, The Rows & Vine.

The required guest count is a minimum of 10 individuals.

What are your opening hours?

How accessible is Ridgeview to visit?

We have dedicated disabled parking spaces and step-free access from our car park, across the entire estate including the vineyard, winery shop, tasting rooms, restaurant, bar and bathrooms.

If you, or anyone in your party, have any additional access and mobility requirements, please let us know in advance, so we can support you in your requirements. How long do tours take?

On average our tours take one and a half hours allowing plenty of time to enjoy our beautiful vineyard from The Rows & Vine restaurant afterwards if you wish.

Is there an age restriction on tours & tastings?

Under 18s are not permitted on tours due to health and safety reasons. However, children under the age of 18 are welcome in our restaurant, The Rows & Vine as long as they are accompanied by adults throughout the visit.

How much wine will I be served on a tour and/or tasting?

On our Taste of Ridgeview wine tastings, we serve approximately six 25ml measures of wine. For our Tour & Tasting experiences, we serve approximately four 50ml measures. As we free-pour, these are approximate servings. Spittoons are available, and if needed, you’re welcome to leave your car at Ridgeview overnight — just let a member of our team know during your visit.

Can I cancel my tour booking?

Tours & Tastings tickets are non-refundable. You can reschedule your tour once. However, we must have at least two weeks’ notice to do so, otherwise your booking will not be eligible for rescheduling.

Ridgeview host tours year-round. In the case of extreme weather conditions, we may cancel an event for safety reasons and in this instance a full refund or alternative date will be offered. Ridgeview reserves the right to postpone tours as required. For full T&C’s please click here.
